Many syntheses can only be conducted at low temperatures or proceed more selectively at low temperatures. In such cases, temperature control demands extensive experience. Many parameters determine the quality of processes, such as the homogeneity of the solution or adherence to temperature steps during heating and cooling.
For low-temperature technology, we have the following equipment at your disposal:
- Special reactors of 100 liters, 500 liters and 1000 liters (ancillary equipment up to 1500 liters), which can be operated using a heating-cooling circuit with an inert heat transfer fluid over a temperature range from -100 to +200°C.
- Safety box feed systems for air-sensitive solutions (butyl lithium, lithium alanate, etc.).
- Computer-controlled process equipment systems, complete with on-site control panels, can be quickly and easily connected to a wide range of upstream and downstream units on an as-needed basis.
Please read our flyer about our low temperature synthesis capacities expansion and the applications!
We use low-temperature technology primarily for organometallic reactions:
- Grignard reactions
- Reactions with BuLi und LiAIH4
- Synthesis of metallocenes and metallocene precursors
